You Can Make It
Before Covid19 Derrick Hayes the "enTIEtainer" was working to help at risk youth and traveling as a sought-after keynote speaker and entertainer at schools, colleges, corporations, meetings, events, concerts, festivals, clubs, casinos, churches, carnivals and other venues.
When Covid19 made an impact on communities and schools Derrick Hayes the "enTIEtainer" was looking for ways to use fabric that nobody wanted to share positive motivation and inspiration that would give others hope in the times we were facing.
After making ties one day Hayes started to look at the pocket square for inspiration and it opened his mind to not only have choices but to always have possibilities.
Below Derrick shares his journey that takes you from the Pocket Square to the Pocket Bag so that individuals, groups and organizations can import this message into their life that "If I Can Make It, You Can Make It."
One of the goals is to give youth and young adults ideas with inspiration that is also aligned with opportunities so that at the end of the day they can look at themselves in the mirror and say, "You Can Make It."

Pocket Square
When dealing with the pandemic and having extra fabric the choices were simple and they were to do nothing or create something and one of the first creations to come to life were coasters.

After making coasters and seeing how others liked them Derrick started to research other ideas that could be developed out of the extra fabric. One afternoon Derrick Hayes opened up the pocket square and realized that if you stuff them correctly it would allow you to turn pocket squares into stress balls.

As more people were wanting stress balls it opened the door for Hayes to realize that if he developed what was already in front of him it would create a character that would also help promote character development. This moment gave the birth of Tie Man, Jr.

Tie Man, Jr. was born in the Fall and when February was coming near thoughts turned to how great it would be if you not only had character but also character with heart and this gave birth to Tie Man with a Heart.

The Roman Philosopher Seneca once said "Luck is what happens when preparations meets opportunity" and when you have character with heart it will put you in position even if you don't believe in luck to give birth to great ideas like Tie Man Shamrock just in time for St. Patricks Day

As more ideas were being developed women from all walks of likes were wanting products that represented and had them in mind them and these moments like these encouraged Derrick Hayes to learn how to make scrunchies.

One day when Derrick Hayes was looking to make scrunchies out of a pair of old blue jeans he looked at the back pocket and saw the vision for the Pocket Bag.
